Over the past several years, a new segment has emerged among crossovers: subcompact CUVs. Smaller than the ever-popular compact models such as the Escape, these smaller vehicles are surprisingly quite popular for their blend of efficiency and utility. Now, Ford will be offering its own stateside: the 2018 Ford EcoSport.

The reveal came at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which kicks off today. The EcoSport—pronounced Echo Sport—has evolved quite a bit since its original overseas iteration. Now, it boasts styling more in line with other Ford crossovers like the Escape and Edge, while offering an interior that’s more mature and functional. Two powertrains will be offered. Front-wheel drive models get a 1.0-liter EcoBoost mill, while all-wheel drive models saddle up with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder.

Unfortunately, the EcoSport is at least a year away from our showroom here in Holly, MI. To learn more about our current lineup, contact us by phone, live chat, or email. You can also explore our new Ford inventory online.
