Out of the three most popular compact crossovers out there, the Ford Escape is near the top of the heap. In fact, as far as its native brand is concerned, it's the Blue Oval's second most popular model (behind the F-150, no less). While that says quite a bit about this CUV as a whole, second best is not a slot Ford is content with. So, they've updated the car for 2017.
You have no doubt read about some of the updates to the new Escape already (after all, it's one of those cars we can't stop talking about), but today, we have some pretty exciting news. Automotive insiders such as Autoblog and The Fast Lane Car have had a chance to drive Dearborn's latest crossover. Both publications liked the turbo-lag-less 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter EcoBoost engines that are new to the lineup this year, as well as the retuned suspension.
