Innovative test-drive event yields much-needed money for
Holly High School Football Program
Holly, Michigan ? Szott Ford, Holly High School and members of the local community raised $3,380.00 for Holly High School's Football Program at a recent test-drive event, as part of Ford Motor Company's Drive One 4 UR School program. For each of the 169 test drives, Holly-area residents who test drove a Ford vehicle at Holly High School last Friday, September 9th, Ford Motor Company donated $20, with funds going towards the Holly High School Football Program.
Since the program's inception in 2007, Drive One 4 UR School has offered 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events to generate over $5 million for high schools nationwide. The money raised during the Drive One 4 UR School program has helped ensure that extracurricular activities, like sports and music programs, continue in local communities.
"We are thrilled that so many people from the local community turned out to support Holly High School Football, and I've never been more proud to be a Ford dealer. Participants had the chance to take a fun, casual drive in one of our vehicles, while lending out students and community a much-needed helping hand," said Todd Szott, General Manager at Szott Ford.
"This was the perfect time for this event. We had a huge turnout due to all of the school functions going on that night and we had a very meaningful game scheduled. The community really came together to make this a very special and successful night. What Szott Ford did is a blessing for our students, and it says a lot about who they are as a company," said Jeremy Barkey, US History/Economics teacher and varsity football coach at Holly High School. The money raised from this event will help purchase equipment, new uniforms, practice gear, summer camp fees, travel expenses and everyday supplies.
Dear Friends:
On behalf of all of us at Genesys Health Foundation thank you for your
generous gift of $150. Your contribution to Genesys is very kind.
The gift we received will be directed to the Reunion With a Cause Fund,
as you requested. This fund is used to assist Genesys cancer patients in our
community that may be experiencing financial hardship due to their illness. With
the help of many people and your contribution our event has raised a record
breaking $81,000 this year.
On behalf of those who will be touched by your generosity, we extend their
appreciation. Your support at the Medical
Center and in our
community means a great deal to us.
Once again, thank you for your generous support. If you have any
