Ford Hits NAIAS with New Tech

American auto maker Ford came to the 2012 Detroit Auto Show with a ton of updated vehicles, as well as many examples of their latest technology. 'Focusing' on performance (in the upcoming Ford Mustang), safety (in Ford Fusion), and eco-friendly-ness (thanks to plug-in Focus) there was no shortage of fun toys to show off.

The upcoming Mustang, for example, includes their famous GT500 variant, which hits an astounding 650-horsepower, while producing over 600 lb-ft of

Ford Transforms Focus Test Drive

If you're like most car buyers, you think of test drives more of a chore than a fun way to spend your Saturday afternoon. We don't blame you. But, what if it was more like a game...specifically a video game, where you would compete against other drivers? Would you be more interested then?

Maybe it's just our competitive spirit guiding us, but we certainly would. That's why we were so psyched to learn that Ford has decided to create a video-game-like driving experience.

Don't worry, test-drivers (or players) are still able to scrutinize vehicle…

Vote for Ford Focus EV Sounds

There currently isn't any legislation mandating that electric vehicles (EVs) be equipped with sounds to alert pedestrians and animals, and ultimately help to prevent unnecessary accidents. However, such laws are expected to be enacted soon. As such, Ford is preemptively planning to add sound to its new 2012 Focus EV. And, they want your opinion as to what those sounds should be.

To join the approximately 300 Ford Facebook fans who have already voted and make sure your opinion is heard, visit this Facebook page, by the end of the month. There, you will be asked to rank four…

Ford Fiesta Outsells Ford Focus

Is it the Ford  Fiesta's European styling? Maybe that 40 MPG rating helping out. Whatever the case may be, the new Ford Fiesta is trampling all over sales of the Ford Focus .

According to a Bloomberg News report: The Ford Fiesta is averaging higher sales figures than not only its larger sibling the Focus, but fetching more than competing cars.

Customers are buying the Fiesta loaded with options, which goes along with a new car buying trend of people getting an economy class vehicle loaded to the brim with extras. This sets the price final MSRP $3,000 to…

Ford Launches First Global Vehicle

It's big (not in size but in value and technology). It's bad (and by bad, we mean totally awesome). It's bold (Ford's first-ever global design). We're talking about Ford's all-new 2012 Ford Focus.

Mark Ford, President, Ford of the Americas, says "The launch of the Focus couldn't come at a better time."1 And, with gas prices inching closer to the $4.00/gallon mark, every day, we couldn't agree more. Boasting 40 mpg/gallon, the celebrated compact is expected to be among the world's most-wanted cars.

Readying themselves for immense…

Ford EV Stays Charged In Cold

According to USA Today, an electric version of the Ford Focus compact will use an advanced liquid-heating system. Warmer batteries mean better range. That's Ford Chairman Bill Ford's about his much anticipated EV Focus.

Some newspapers have reported that EV cars can't keep batteries charged in extremely cold or icy weather. Ford says this is not an issue with Focus EV. Dealerships like Szott Ford of 8880 East Holly Rd. in Holly, MI  are seeing a huge influx of customers shopping for the updated Ford Focus and Ford Focus EV.

"Batteries are similar to people as they…
